The weapon is a simple 7 shot, semi automatic pistol. Where the ammo left is indicated on the hammer behind the slide (on the back of the weapon)

WEAPONS SYSTEM
Created by Flossom.

After firing the 7th bullet in the Weapon, the user is notified identifiable as a ping noise to Reload the Weapon, which will have a GUI displaying "Shake to Reload", with a small sprite to show the Gesture to Complete the reload. Which is as follows..

By slamming the weapon downwards, it begins a delay to let the user know that the weapon is in the process of reloading. And upon completion, which is identifiable by a unique noise, and having Green Cartridge as compared to Red.
The user will then have to slam the weapon upwards, like reloading a double barreled shotgun, which will finally award the weapon with another 7 bullets to fire.

HOW WAS THIS DEVELOPED?
During the Pre Production Phase, the Team was trying to figure out a game to create. And we settled on creating a Game that was focused with a theme - futurism and time glitches. And hence "Project: Summer Flare" was in the works.

Skipping the majority of the time spent on finding out the theme we would stick with , and also the time spent after a few months of discussion and having settled on futurism and time glitches. We finally began the process of creating the weapon, with Flossom being involved of doing the programming section of the weapon, such as hitting a target, reloading the weapon, and whenever the weapon is empty, and Y being the one that designs the weapon textures.

WHY NOT USE A CONVENTIONAL MAG FED GUN?
As the main selling point of the game was that everything is based around the future, having a mag fed gun does not seem like something that would happen in the future where things would be based around floating screens, and having an on-head display.

So instead, the team voted and opted for a Shake System to reload the weapon.

Where explained above, the user has to fire 7 bullets and no lesser, to have the gun give a display that the user has to complete a small set of actions in order to reload the weapon.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GAME?
After months of tedious testing, trial and error. Bug Fixes, and finding exploits to the game itself. And when the team finally agreed that the game is finally market ready, and open for the media to play. It initially started silent, but after awhile when a community influencer bought the game to light, it was a major hit, and till this day (2022), it is still having of ups to 100 new players playing the game, with feedbacks of "For a game within a game, and having the standard shaders used, the games performance never dipped below 40, with the storyline having a strong spine, and the gameplay elements being hard, but not irritating, this is certainly a gold mine, and definitely the first of its kind in this community".
